PressureAlert® is a bedside pressure ulcer monitoring system. The PressureAlert® system is composed of an app that is downloadable for free on your smart device along with a smart dressing used to measure pressure on at-risk areas to prevent pressure ulcers from forming, and help to heal pre-existing ulcers on the body. The PressureAlert® system has the capabilities to monitor, track, and provide alerts to the patient or the caregiver to indicate a pressure ulcer could form or to reposition the patient before they experience excessive or prolonged pressure to an area of the body. The PressureAlert® smart dressing can be used as dressing which is applied over an at-risk area or as a secondary dressing over a pre-existing wound. The PressureAlert® smart dressing connects to the app via low-frequency Bluetooth signals that are used to deliver alerts (sound, vibration, or voice). Each patient can be paired with up to eleven different at-risk sites on the body, and this data can be stored in our optional cloud.
